Terms of Service
Last updated: May 6, 2026 · Effective: May 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CoinsOnCards (“CoinsOnCards”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the website at www.coinsoncards.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Site is intended for users in jurisdictions where access and use of crypto-related financial products is lawful. You are solely responsible for confirming your eligibility under local law before applying for any product reviewed on the Site.
2. What CoinsOnCards is — and is not
CoinsOnCards is an independent editorial publication that compares consumer crypto debit and credit cards. We collect publicly available information from card issuers and structure it for comparison.
Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. We are not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, money transmitter, financial conduct authority licensee, or fiduciary, and we do not facilitate the purchase, sale, custody, or transfer of any cryptocurrency, security, or other financial instrument. Always consult an appropriately licensed professional before making financial decisions.
3. Crypto-asset risk disclosure
Cryptocurrency products carry material risks, including:
- Price volatility — crypto-asset prices can move tens of percent in a single day. Card balances denominated in crypto can lose substantial value before you spend them.
- Custody risk — custodial card issuers control your assets and may freeze, restrict, or lose access to them. Self-custodial cards put the burden of key management entirely on you; lost keys mean lost funds with no recovery.
- Smart-contract risk — self-custodial and DeFi card products rely on on-chain smart contracts that may contain bugs, be exploited, or be paused.
- Issuer risk — card programs can be paused, suspended, or terminated by their card networks, banks, or regulators with little or no notice. We have seen this happen repeatedly across the sector.
- Regulatory risk — crypto regulation is fast-moving and varies sharply between jurisdictions. A product available today in your country may become unavailable or prohibited at short notice.
- Tax exposure — spending a crypto asset can be a taxable event. You are responsible for your own tax filings.
You should not commit funds you cannot afford to lose and should carefully read the issuer’s own terms, fees, and risk disclosures before applying for any card listed on the Site.
4. Geographic restrictions
Card products reviewed on the Site are not available in every country, US state, or territory. Availability information is sourced from issuers and is subject to change without notice. The Site itself is accessible globally for informational purposes; applying for a product is your decision and you must comply with applicable laws in your country of residence and any other jurisdiction whose laws apply to you.
5. Affiliate links and sponsored content
CoinsOnCards may earn a commission when you click certain outbound links to issuer sites and complete an application. This is the Site’s primary funding model and is consistent with US Federal Trade Commission Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), the UK Advertising Standards Authority CAP Code, and similar disclosure regimes.
Editorial rankings and ratings are never influenced by commercial relationships. Affiliate status does not affect a card’s position in any list or its score. Sponsored placements, if and when they exist, will be labelled clearly and unambiguously as “Sponsored” in line with applicable advertising rules.
Display advertising on the Site is served by Google AdSense and other third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details on how those work.
6. Accuracy and updates
We make reasonable efforts to keep card data current and verify specs against issuer-published sources at least weekly. Card terms change frequently and our data may be stale or incorrect. Always verify on the issuer’s official site before applying. To report an error, email coinsoncards@frsr.com; we aim to publish corrections within 48 hours.
7. Permitted use
You may access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial informational use. You may share short quotations with attribution and a link back. You may not, without our prior written consent:
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Site at scale, including for the training of machine-learning models;
- Republish the structured card database in whole or in substantial part;
- Use the Site or any of its content to build a competing product;
- Interfere with the Site’s operation, attempt to bypass access controls, or probe for vulnerabilities outside a responsible-disclosure context;
- Use automated tools to click ads or otherwise inflate metrics in ways that violate the policies of our advertising partners.
8. Intellectual property
The Site, including its layout, design, graphics, source code, editorial copy, ratings, methodology, and curated database structure, is owned by FRSR — Fraser Brown or its licensors and is protected by copyright, database, trademark, and similar laws. Card and issuer names, logos, and product marks belong to their respective owners and are used here for descriptive and editorial purposes only — no affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship is implied unless explicitly stated.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites operated by issuers, payment networks, regulators, and others. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Following an outbound link is your decision; the third party’s terms then apply.
10. No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will CoinsOnCards, its affiliates, officers, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or crypto assets, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoinsOnCards and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) your use of the Site in a manner not permitted by these Terms.
13. Termination and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms; material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.
14. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice that includes (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the allegedly infringing material, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised, (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner, and (f) your physical or electronic signature. Send to coinsoncards@frsr.com.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that you may bring small claims in your local court where applicable. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected.
16. Severability and assignment
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets; you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
