    Custody & risk

    • If the issuer disappears
If the provider disappears, unspent crypto in a user's personal wallet remains accessible, but any fiat funds already loaded onto the card may be lost.
    • Counterparty risk
When crypto is converted to fiat for card loading, those fiat funds become e-money issued by the partner bank. If provider disappears, loaded fiat may be lost.
    • Regulatory risk
UK availability restricted pending regulatory reviews
    • Market risk
Airdrop rewards value can fluctuate based on token performance - rewards approach differs from traditional cashback as value is variable

Zebec's model is non-custodial for crypto until conversion. Users keep crypto in their own wallets. Crypto is only moved and converted to fiat e-money at the moment of spending or loading the card. The fiat funds are then held by the partner bank/issuer.

    Protections
