    How it works

    • Tangem Pay is a virtual Visa card with high spending limits of $10,000 per transaction and $50,000 annually. It offers instant virtual card issuance upon KYC approval, with direct integration into Apple Pay and Google Pay. The core architecture is built on a dual-key smart contract system for each user on the Polygon blockchain, requiring authorization from both the user's EAL6+ certified hardware wallet and a partner key for transactions. Future planned features include physical cards, ATM access, and optional stablecoin yield.

Funding: USDC on Polygon via Tangem Wallet mobile app

    Custody & risk

    • If the issuer disappears
If the provider disappears, users retain full access to their assets on-chain.
    • Market risk
Early stage service with technical bugs reported by early adopters
    • Counterparty risk
Dual-key system requires partner (Rain) co-signature for transactions

Users control private keys via a Tangem hardware wallet at all times. USDC remains on-chain in a user-controlled smart contract until the point of purchase. Funds are deducted only at the moment of sale, and the provider cannot move funds unilaterally.
